Home and School
A very important component of our learning culture is the partnership between the learner, their parents and their teachers. Much of the research into successful learning points to the critical role of these relationships. We see the need for open communication, respect and trust as crucial to seeing our students grow and thrive as learners and we are always looking for ways to develop and grow these relationships. At Myross Bush School we provide the following opportunities for this to occur:
- Face to face - feel free to approach us outside schools times (first bell is at 8.55am and the day finishes at 2.45pm)
- Email - one of the best ways to set up a meeting with your child's teachers
- 'Letter to the Teacher' (letters shared with teachers at start of Term 1 about student strengths/needs)
- 3 Way Conferences
- Reporting to Parents through Linc-Ed (parent access to student reports via an online portal)
- Classroom Notices (email weekly from classroom teachers via Linc-Ed)
- Friday Newsletters from the Principal
- School Facebook and Twitter pages
- Parent workshops
- School assemblies
- School app - search your tablet or mobile phone's app store for 'Myross Bush' to download this free app
