Meet the Principal

Kia ora and welcome to Myross Bush School!

The school opened in 1866 and has been on its current site since 1868. We are a semi rural, team teaching, decile 10 state primary school, with a special atmosphere and wonderfully supportive community.

Our biggest strength is the amazing team of support staff and teachers who go above and beyond for our students and parents.

Our roll peaks at 200 students and we operate 4 innovative learning environments (8 homerooms) with a dynamic and highly collaborative teaching team of passionate educators and support staff. We aim to make our school a happy, safe and empowering place where all staff and children can blossom and reach their full potential.

Each child’s learning pathway is unique and we work in close partnership with home to help understand and develop the whole child. We want our learners (children and teachers) to fully engage in and own their learning. That is why our vision for learning is based around 'Ako the Active Learner' (CLICK HERE to be shown more about this).

We promote an open family environment and invite you to visit us so you can see the school in action for yourself.

Myross Bush School is a special place!

Regards

Jamin Lietze
Principal
