Meet the Principal

Picture
Kia Ora and welcome to Myross Bush School!

The school opened in 1866 and has been on its current site since 1868. We are a semi rural, team teaching, decile 10 state primary school, with a special atmosphere and wonderfully supportive community.

Our roll peaks at 190  students and we operate 4 innovative learning environments (8 homerooms).

Our strength is the dynamic and highly collaborative teaching team of passionate educators and support staff who go above and beyond for our students and parents.

We aim to make our school a happy, safe and empowering place where all staff and children can blossom and reach their full potential.

We have a clear vision for learning that seeks to see our students become the best they can be. It is based around 'Ako the Active Learner' (CLICK HERE to be shown more about this).

Every child is born a miracle. They each have interests and talents that are to be grown so that they shine like stars in their individual ways. They are to be treated with love, listened to and celebrated!

We invite you to visit us so you can see the school in action for yourself. Myross Bush School is a special place!

Ngā mihi nui
