Our Mural...
Located at the end of the Kawaka building, our vibrant multi-medium mural celebrates the spirit of Myross Bush School Community. This project was a true collaborative effort, with every class contributing through pottery, mosaics, stenciling, and 3D layering.
Standing tall at the center, the Kahikatea tree represents our school. Just as the kahikatea gains strength by intertwining its roots with others, our school thrives through the support of our incredible community.

The mural captures our local identity by bridging the past and the present:
- The Past: Honours our history through symbols of local soldiers (poppies), the evolution of farming (draught horses and tractors), and the spirit of innovation (the windmill).
- The Present: Celebrates modern life at Myross Bush School, featuring the sports, arts, and friendships our students love. It also highlights our local fauna and the social events, like Pet Day, that bring us together.
- The Viewer: Integrated mirrors allow students and visitors to see themselves in the artwork—reminding us all that you are the "now" that makes up our community.
