Enrolment at Myross Bush School is governed by an enrolment scheme. As of Monday 19 September the School Board has up to 10 New Entrant places available for out of zone students for Term 2-3 2023.

Boundary Description:
The furthest north point on the school boundary is all of Macadam Road.
Turn east onto the Grove Bush/Woodlands Road to Lorneville/Dacre Road (State Highway 98).
Turn west onto State Highway 98 until Rakauhauka Church Road.
Turn south onto Rakauhauka Church Road until Irving Road.
Turn east onto Irving Road until Mona Bush Road.
Turn south onto Mona Bush Road until Woodlands-Invercargill Road (State Highway 1).
Turn west onto State Highway 1 until Racecourse Road. Travel north on Racecourse Road until Findlay Road.
Turn east onto Findlay Road. Findlay Road also includes, Tuai Street, Bethunes Lane and Ayresdale Road.
Turn North onto Mill Road North then west onto Bainfield Road.
Turn north onto Retreat Road, west onto McIvor Road, north onto Aerodrome Road, east onto Lorneville Dacre Road.
Turn north onto Mill Road North, east onto Clarke Road, north onto Kennington-Roslyn Bush Road to Coveney Road.
Include all of Coveney Road to get back to Macadam Road.

If the Board of Trustees determine there are any places likely to be available to out of zone students then this information will be published as a public notice online together with the year level and closing date for applications.
Applications for enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority:
If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth or fifth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary for Education under Section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989. Parents will be informed of the date of any ballot by notice in a daily or community newspaper circulating in the area served by the school.
Applicants seeking second or third priority status may be required to give proof of a sibling relationship.

- If the number of out of zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a ballot for out of zone places is required, it will be held on Thursday 1 December 2022.

- All students residing within the zone described below and depicted on the Ministry map (link above) will be entitled to enrol at Myross Bush School. Proof of residence within the enrolment scheme is required.

- First priority must be given to students who have been accepted for enrolment in the following special programme(s) run by the school and approved by the Secretary for Education. This priority category is not applicable at this school because the school does not run a special programme approved by the Secretary.
- Second priority must be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.
- Third priority must be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
- Fourth priority must be given to any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school.
- Fifth priority must be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the board of the school or a child of a member of the board of the school.
- Sixth priority must be given to all other applicants.
