SOLO Taxonomy

At Myross Bush School we describe how well we understand something using the SOLO Taxonomy (Structure of Observed Learning Outcomes); a well researched and documented thinking development tool. The levels in simple terms are:

When students have demonstrated understanding at the 'Relational' level, it is recognised that they have achieved that aspect of understanding/learning. 
We also use Solo Taxonomy to develop depth in the teaching of the NZ Key Competencies. See the below stages for how this is developed.
