Our Logo, Vision and Values
Vision Statement:
"From Strong Foundations we grow and stand tall together".
This vision statement is centred around the picture of the Kahikatea Tree which was selected because it is the tallest growing tree in our local Myross Bush area. It grows up to 60m tall and is also known as ‘white pine’.
School Values:
Kotahitanga ~ "Getting along together."
Ngākau Tapatahi (integrity) ~ "Doing the right thing even when no one else is looking."
Whakapai Ake ~ "Be the best you can be."
Te Papa Atawhai ~ "Reduce, reuse, recycle and restore, replenish."

Logo:
The tree at the centre is based on a stylised Kahikatea tree with five shapes in the head of the tree representing the five Active Learning attributes - Connect, Create, Curious, Growth Mindset and Think.
The four coloured blocks in the background represent the four school values - Kotahitanga, Ngākau Tapatahi, Whakapai Ake and Te Papa Atawhai.
The colours are a reflection of the colours found in the local environment. The dark blue is based on the current school blue.
The vision statement emphasises strength, confidence and being prepared to ‘stand above the crowd’ to be the best you can be. Kahikatea trees have strong, thick vertical trunks to be able to ‘stand tall above the treeline’.
