Our Logo, Vision and Values
Logo:
The tree at the centre is based on a stylised Kahikatea tree with five shapes in the head of the tree representing the five Active Learning attributes - Connect, Create, Curious, Growth Mindset and Think.
The four coloured blocks in the background represent the four school values - Kotahitanga, Ngakau Tapatahi, Whakapai Ake and Te Papa Atawhai.
The colours are a reflection of the colours found in the local environment. The dark blue is based on the current school blue and is used as the ‘framework’ forming the logo shape.
The vision statement emphasises strength, confidence and being prepared to ‘stand above the crowd’ to be the best you can be. Kahikatea trees have strong, thick vertical trunks to be able to ‘stand tall above the treeline’. This is shown in the logo concept.
It is a modern, friendly and easily adapted logo design. Easy to remember and draw.
